This manga and the partnering anime adaption are so adorable, it’s ridiculous. This is going to be a very short review because it is a very short manga and a very short anime.
Orenchi no Furo Jijo (The Circumstances of my Bathtub) is all about this boy who rescues a man who he later realizes to be a mermaid. The manga is all about the daily lives of this boy, the merman, and the merman’s friends, a wide assortment of mer-creatures.
The manga is really short, only around 20 chapters, only around 18-20 pages each. The anime is even shorter, only thirteen episodes, the times ranging from 4-5 minutes long. Even though short, the characters are lovable, the plot is adorable, and the little sister is hilarious. It’s good, though short, and I’d 100% recommend it. It’s funny and the bromance between the main character and the merman evolves from simple roommates to good friends. It’s overall a genuinely good story.
